I'm running for the United States Senate because I believe in public service and serving our country. I believe we must create an economy that produces family wage paying jobs for the working families of America, we must balance the budget and bring down the national debt, protect our environment and strongly promote peace.
Service to our country will be a central theme in my campaign. I currently serve in the United States Navy Reserves as a Lieutenant Commander Logistics Officer and have served two tours overseas in the Persian Gulf and Africa.
I'm running for U.S. Senate because the Republican Leadership's vision for America is way off course. Republicans talk about cutting the budget and then offer no real solutions. Republicans always say make government smaller and cut spending and then offer no solutions. That is a lot of talk and no substance. My campaign message is focused on my life experiences, service to our country and creating jobs, that simple.
Job creation will be one of my top priorities in the U.S. Senate. I will be a leader in new economic development initiatives to revitalize our communities and will champion using stimulus dollars to work with good corporate partners and innovative entrepreneurs to build new manufacturing plants in Maryland. How will this create good paying jobs... Working with our good corporate partners and using community Project Labor Agreements to get the best quality work, we'll create immediate shovel-ready jobs in building the new high-tech manufacturing plants and then once the new plants are built they will create new manufacturing jobs. It's a win-win for our communities, businesses and working families!
As Maryland's next Senator, I will fight to create jobs, build new high tech manufacturing plants, and rebuild our economy and I will dedicate myself everyday to make a positive difference in the lives of the working families in Maryland.
